Facebook Inc (FB) Instagram to Introduce Live Video Streaming Very Soon

Facebook is not just enhancing its own video streaming services but even its subsidiary Instagram’s, according to the latest leaks

Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) is not taking things easily, as it is not just enhancing its own social media platform with a catchy camera effect and live video streaming service, but is giving the same tools to its subsidiary, Instagram. At first, it was thought of as just a speculation, according to a Russian website which showed live streaming service integrated into Instagram Stories. However, Instagram has confirmed these rumors to be true.

According to past leaks, this feature is currently undergoing tests such as live streaming content showing up right next to stories. The live streaming content is highly similar to Snapchat, which Facebook has attempted to acquire numerous times in the past and failed. It is clear that Facebook is attempting to get Snapchat younger customers as it only has users who are over 25 years old.

Facebook has even attempted to buy clones of Snapchat, including Snow. Since it cannot buy out Snapchat, it is imitating the tools of the chat service.

Live video content is gaining popularity among masses which social media platforms are evidently well aware of. It is still not known as to when exactly Instagram would have its very own live streaming content and follow its parent company’s footsteps. Given that Instagram added the “Stories” feature back in August, and soon would have the live streaming option, it might just become Snapchat’s clone.

How the feature will work on Instagram is not known but speculations suggest that users will get live streaming from people they follow at the top of the application. Rumors said that one users saw a live button on the beta version of Instagram on Android, which is a major indication that the tool is undergoing tests for now.

Instagram’s upcoming live video streaming tool is definitely worth waiting for. It has already been witnessed on Facebook and Snapchat, making it high time Instagram gets the fair treatment it deserves.
